In one of the most intriguing unions in the history of Food & Wine Trails, we are extremely excited to welcome AldenAlli and Red Stitch as your wine hosts for our 3rd Annual Sonoma Magazine Wine Cruise. Together these powerhouses will join forces for a 14-day epicurean and wine adventure through Australia and New Zealand in January of 2020.

Hitting the South Pacific seas are Sonoma Magazine’s CEO, Steve Falk along with wine extraordinaire, Dan Kosta (formerly of Kosta Browne) who has partnered at AldenAlli winery with the, Lagasse family. The creating of AldenAlli wine began with the convergence of Kosta and Lagasse’s friendship, families, culinary passions and love of Pinot Noir! Both the Kosta and Lagasse families have a long history with one another and AldenAlli Pinot Noir tells the story of these two families’ talent for combining world class wine with great food.

Rich Aurilia (yes, the San Francisco Giants’ former All-Star short stop and member of the SF Giants Hall of Fame) and his wife Amy are also hosting the Oceania Regatta cruise with their winery Red Stitch. Aptly named after the red stitches on a baseball, Rich is partners with MLB’s David Roberts (yes, the current manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers). Both are devoted wine enthusiasts and in 2008, they ventured together into the wine business and are intimately involved in the winemaking process.

As you can imagine, traveling with Steve Falk, Dan Kosta and Rich Aurilia is a wine/food/sports lover’s dream come true! Food & Wine Trails has put together a robust program that lives up to the talents and passions of these three gentlemen. Our optional pre-cruise program explores Hunter Valley, home to some of the oldest and best-known wine producers in Australia. You’ll enjoy a full day and night in Hunter’s Valley plus two nights in Sydney with visits to all the iconic sights. No less than four optional wine-themed shore tours are planned throughout the cruise, where we will take you off the beaten path and to some of the most sought after wineries and vineyards for private tours, tastings and wine-paired lunches.

While onboard the newly refurbished and gorgeous Regatta, join your hosts for private events including a welcome reception, seminars & tastings and winemaker’s dinners featuring hand-selected vintages from AldenAlli and Red Stitch.

This cruise is destined to be the talk of 2020 and if previous Sonoma Magazine Wine Cruises are any indication, it will sell out quickly! Don’t miss out, contact Food & Wine Trails today to reserve your space.
