This is my virgin cruise and who knows maybe my only cruise…and as such, I am determined to pull out all the stops…have a fun time and get crazy!!! As often as we can, wherever we can and whenever we can…
If you are looking for the sleepy cruise, this is not the one for you! If you want to have a boat load of fun…(no pun intended)…can laugh at yourself as well as me we’d love to have you be a part of our group.
I take pride in taking those moments that would otherwise be yawners and turning them into memorable one of a kind moments…I hope you can join me in making this happen.
So, I would like to officially invite you to join us in the fall of 2014 as we embark on a ten-day cruise from Barcelona, Spain to Venice, Italy. You’ll cruise on Oceania Cruise’s newest mid-sized ship the Marina. The Riviera debuted in May 2012, and is one of the most beautiful, elegant and sophisticated ships to debut in the past 50 years. Designer touches are everywhere; you won’t want to go home.
You can also arrive a few days early into Barcelona where I will be hosting a 3 night Pre-Cruise “Best of Barcelona”. Barcelona will never be the same again!

Oceania Cruises’ are regularly rated as having “the best food at sea” by publications like Condé Nast Travel and Travel + Leisure - which isn’t surprising as their executive chef is Jacques Pépin. The ship features three no-extra-charge restaurants, a large fitness room and spa, and a casinoand enough bars and lounges to keep us entertained at night
While in port, you can wander on your own, or join one of the private-to-the-group visits to such famous wineries as Ornellaia, a super Tuscan winery that received a Perfect 100-score from Wine Spectator, to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a French wine region made famous by the critic Robert Parker and to a small family owned winery on the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius near the ruins of Pompeii.
Onboard, we will host an opening wine reception and a dinner featuring our wines. We will host a tasting so you can experience our wines and we can get to know each other. I will be discussing with you my life and the history of how David Arthur came to be. There will be many opportunities to share other meals, both on-board and ashore, and it’s entirely possible that a few library wines might find their way aboard.
