m/s PAUL GAUGUIN
Rated #1 Midsize-Ship Ocean Cruise Line
The m/s Paul Gauguin was designed specifically to sail the shallow seas of the South Pacific, and is the flagship of Paul Gauguin Cruises. A small-ship cruiser's dream, she delivers travelers to intimate ports inaccessible to larger cruise ships, all the while providing an onboard experience that is nothing short of luxurious. Life onboard also reflects the beauty and rich cultural heritage of the islands she calls upon, with a warm, friendly feel, informal setting, and even a beloved troupe of Gauguines and Gauguins - local Tahitians who serve as cruise staff, entertainers, and storytellers.
ACCOMMODATIONSNearly 70% of suites and staterooms have private balconies, and all feature an ocean view, queen-size bed (a limited number can have twin-bed confirguration), bathroom with full-size bathtub and shower, bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer, TV, CD/DVD player, personal safe, refrigerator stocked with soft drinks and more. Staterooms sizes range from 534 sq. ft.(including veranda) for the Owner's Suite to 200 sq. ft for a Window Stateroom.
Dining on the high seas with Paul Gauguin is truly something special. Embark upon a five-star culinary adventure, designed by some of the world's most talented and award-winning chefs, including Jean Pierre Vigato, Chef Proprietaire at Paris' Michelin-starred Restaurant Apicius.
A highlight of the Paul Gauguin Cruises' experience is watersports, offering many opportunities to explore the translucent lagoons, rainbow-colored reefs and a myriad of tropical fish. The specially designed watersports platform turns the ship into your headquarters for all kinds of adventures on the water including windsurfing, paddle-boarding or kayaking.
If you've always wanted to try SCUBA diving, the Paul Gauguin is the perfect place to learn. The onboard marina offers diving excursions for all experience levels and it's the only luxury ship in French Polynesia to offer PADI certification classes to novices.
On every voyage, Paul Gauguin's own troupe of Tahitian hosts and entertainers bring the spirit of Polynesia to life. You'll enjoy the traditional songs, dance, local handicrafts and hand-on demonstrations plus local entertainers. And when the sun goes down, Le Grand Salon comes alive with spectacular performances.
