Victoria Falls

The breathtaking Victoria Falls, a "Natural Wonder of the World" straddles the Zimbabwe and Zambia border and is not to be missed on a visit to Africa! If you've been to Niagara Falls, you're in for a huge surprise when you go to Victoria Falls. At over twice the height and several times longer than Niagara Falls, Victoria Falls easily bests its North American foe at a whopping 355 feet high and 5,604 feet wide.

From a relaxing canoe trip down the Zambezi to shopping for local handicrafts or getting a history lesson on David Livingstone, there are many exciting ways to enjoy this stunning area.

You'll be stating at the Victoria Falls Hotel, popularly known as "The grand old lady of the Falls" which is situated perfectly in the fabulous Victoria Falls National Park, and is a member of the exclusive Leading Hotels of the World group.

The Edwardian-style five-star hotel built in 1904, combines the charm of the old with the convenience of the new. Set in lush tropical gardens with lily ponds, palm trees and semi-tropical shrubs. The famous Victoria Falls are just a ten-minute walk away using the hotel's private pathway, and is clearly audible and visible from this luxurious landmark.

World-class service, food and beverages are second to none, drawing international visitors and locals alike.

But it is the Victoria Falls that remains the major attraction for visitors. Waking up to the sound of "the smoke that thunders", seeing the sun rise beneath the mist of one of the seven natural wonders of the world and the lunar rainbow at night, all the while soaking up the history and ambience of a bygone era, is more than unforgettable - it is unique.
