Indeed, Mark’s multi-faceted work history qualifies him to bring the Aridus message of sustainable estate-grown wines to consumers nationwide. Prior to his position in Arizona, Mark was Director of Sales and Business evelopment at Pomar Junction Winery in Paso Robles, CA, Tasting Room Manager at Peju Province Winery in Napa, CA, and Cellar Master at A.J.’S Fine Foods in Phoenix, AZ

In addition to numerous sales and hospitality positions, Stern has owned and operated numerous wine-related ventures, including both a wine bar and 5,000-case capacity winery in Phoenix. “It is rare to meet someone who knows the nuts and bolts of winemaking, understands the complex workings of the three-tier system, and has a well-schooled palate,” said Dahmer, referring to Mark’s business background and education in marketing (MBA) University of Southern California, and certifications including a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) with the Society of Wine Educators and a Certified Sommelier (CS) with the Court of Master Sommeliers.

In his spare time he loves gardening, cooking, boating, beaches, and following his beloved San Francisco Giants, Arizona Coyotes, Oakland Athletics, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Arizona Cardinals.
