Arrive independently into the Milan airport where Filippo will greet you and your fellow travelers for a transfer by private motor coach to the wine regions of the Langhe in Piedmont. Enroute we will stop at a winery for tasting and a snack before checking into our hotle located within the village and wine estate of Fontanafredda. After some time to relax, meet the group at the estate’s restaurant for a wonderful wine-paired meal.
The Barolo wine region is arguably the most famous DOCG in Italy. Known as the “King of Wine”, Barolo is produced from the Nebbiolo grape.
This morning we depart for a short drive to Marchesi di Barolo winery for a vineyard tour, tasting and light lunch. After lunch, enjoy a walking tour of Barolo village.
The afternoon takes us to Domenico Clerico winery for a tasting. Dinner tonight is in the town of Alba at a fine dining restaurant.
Today’s adventure includes Barbaresco wines, one of the great wines of the Piedmont region. Enjoy visiting two wineries in the Barbaresco for a tasting of their finest wines and also a wine-paired lunch.
After lunch we will visit the village of Barbaresco, overlooking the patchwork of vineyards with a magnificent view and rich history.
This evening includes dinner at a Michelin Star Restaurant with a top wine cellar, La Caiu del Tornavento.
Prepare for a scenic journey to Verona. The first stop will be Franciacorta, which is a sparkling wine from the Province of Brescia (Lombardy) with DOCG status. Our visit happens to coincide with the Franciacorta Festival, during which wineries are open for visitors and offer different type of experience. Today we will visit a top Franciacorta producer, Guido Berlucchi Wine Estate for a tasting of two of their wines. After the visit, we will board the motorcoach for lunch with Berlucchi wines at Ristorante Camplani and stunning views of Lake Iseo.
In the afternoon, enjoy some free time on the Lake of Iseo. This lake is even more gorgeous than Lake Como!
Arrive in the land of Romeo and Juliet, Verona, in the late afternoon and check into your hotel – Hotel Due Torrie for two nights.
Spend the morning exploring the city made famous by Shakespeare’s tragic story of two star-crossed lovers, then travel to the traditional Valpolicella Classic wine region and enjoy a tasting and delicious wine-paired lunch at Allegrini Wine Estate Villa della Torre.
Following lunch enjoy a relaxing afternoon boat tour of Garda Lake, known for its crystal clear water. Spend some free time exploring the small quaintest village of Sirmione, dating back to the 5th millennia BC.
This evening we will dine at a beautiful restaurant overlooking Garda Lake.
Journey to the Prosecco wine region, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco is a DOCG title given to a prestigious zone for Prosecco wines made from the Glera grape variety in the Veneto wine region of northeastern Italy. Today we will visit a winery and enjoy lunch in the Prosecco wine region.
Say goodbye to your fellow-travelers and new-found friends as you transfer during a one hour ride into Venice to the airport for your trip home.
