The German Wines of Baden

This shore tour is available to book for all confirmed group members. For a complete description and pricing, contact Food & Wine Trails.

From the Strasbourg port you will drive to the northern part of the German wine region Baden, where the steep western slopes of the Black Forest merge into a hilly wine landscape and finally into the Rhine Valley. This corner of Germany is considered to be the country's sunbelt and the sunny days and cool nights permit the production of not only high-quality Reislings and Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir), but also full-bodied examples of Grauburgunder (Pinto Gris) and Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc)

Highlights Include:
Winery or castle visit
Wine tasting with regional charcuterie board
Visit to historic Gengenbach
