Founders Koerner and Joan Rombauer established Rombauer Vineyards in 1980. Their appreciation between food and wine stemmed from Koerner’s great aunt Irma Rombauer, author of renowned cookbook the Joy of Cooking and his ancestors originating from the winegrowing region of Rheingau, Germany, where wine is considered an essential complement to a meal. So it seemed only fitting that this second- and third-generation family-owned winery return to the “Roots of Rombauer” for a glide along the famed Rhine & Moselle Rivers in 2022.
You’re invited to join 3rd Generation Reagan Rombauer-Blackwood and Director of Customer Engagement, Cheryl Riedel aboard AmaWaterway’s newest vessel – AmaSiena, sailing from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam, Netherlands. Experience captivating sights in Germany & France that include grand cities, picturesque towns, iconic castles, stunning vineyards and verdant valleys. Take a front-row seat on an enchanting journey that takes you along the Rhine and through its designated-UNESCO World Heritage Site with its 40 castles strung like pearls on its river banks, to magnificent cities and charming villages alike.
You’ll be in good hands with Reagan & Cheryl as your congenial onboard hosts. Look forward to hand-selected Rombauer Vineyards wines during exclusive onboard events, including a wine seminar & tasting and a very special winemaker’s dinner.
