Tom grew up on a dairy farm in New Hampshire and began working in hospitality at the age of 14. With a passion for serving guests, he went on to graduate from the University of Denver with a Bachelors in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management. Subsequently he completed the International Management Program at Glion Hotel School in Switzerland, a Masters of Hospitality Certificate from Cornell, and a Masters of International Management from the University of Southampton. In 2018, Tom earned a Black Belt in Six Sigma for his contributions to operational efficiencies.

His career has taken him across the world leading luxury resorts for InterContinental, Hilton, Marriot, Westin, Vail Resorts, Elegant Hotels and others. Before joining JUSTIN in 2019, he was Head of Operations at AMAN Resorts, an ultra-luxury resort brand with 32 locations throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Active in the industry and community, Tom has served on various councils for The Tourism Society, GLG, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and has served on the Board of Directors for American Excursionist and Legendary Holdings Group. Tom currently leads all hospitality operations for JUSTIN, Landmark Vineyards and Lewis Cellars and serves on the Board of Directors for the Paso Robles CAB Collective.
